Introduction

This part of the guide describes all the steps to flash ROM 3.2.2 (Kickstart 47.111) on the Vampire 1200 v2 card.

Why flash if you already have the real ROMs installed? I couldn't get the ethernet port to work and use both IDE ports at the same time (Internal A1200 IDE and Vampire IDE port).

Prerequisites

Step 1

...

On another computer copy the file "Hotfix3.2.2.1.lha" to your SD card and then boot your Amiga to the Workbench screen. Double click on the "SD0C" icon in "AmigaOS:Storage/DOSDrivers/" to mount your SD card.

Next, browse to the "saga-v3.1b6.adf" disk image on your Gotek drive to mount it.

Step 2

...

Now selected "Execute command.." from the Workbench menu to open the execute a file window. Enter "newshell" and press enter or click on the "Execute" button.

Step 3

...
...

Now it's time to extract the files we need. Enter the following command and press enter.

lha e sd:hotfix3.2.2.1.lha ram:

If you get operation successful like the picture above it's time for the next step.

Step 4

...

Time to flash the card with ROM 3.2.2. Enter the following command and press enter.

saga-v3.1b6:c/apolloflash ram:update3.2.2/roms/a1200.47.111.rom

Step 5

...

The ApolloFlash tool is going to ask if you are sure to flash the card and we enter "YES" and press enter.

Step 6

...

If you get flashing done like the picture above it's time to power of your Amiga. Turn of the power, wait a few seconds and turn it on again.

Step 7

...

Boot your Amiga to the Workbench screen again and now selected "About..." from the Workbench menu to open the about window. If everything went well you should see "Kickstart version: 47.111" in the window.
